¶ Growing Weed
Weed is a great starter drug for gangs attempting to gain / maintain turf, for folks who want to RP as a wholesaler, etc. Going from seed to weed on The Boardwalk requires a few steps.
¶ Step 1: Required Items
Below is a list of required items and where you can find them:
- Seeds: must be initially obtained through RP
- Pots: hardware stores
- Fertilizer: hardware stores
- Bottles of water: convenience stores & restaurants
- Drying rack: hardware stores
- Empty baggies: convenience stores
¶ Step 2: Planting
When planting seeds, you'll want to make sure that you have enough fertilizer & water to feed and water your plants almost immediately. To plant a seed, simply use it in your inventory by dragging it to the Use button, ALT+LMB on it, or using a hotbar slot (1-5). The seed will be planted directly in front of your character and will remain in that location until it is harvested or burned down.
¶ Step 3: Caring for the plants
While growing, plants will need to be checked on occasionally and watered & fed. To check on a plant, use your 3rd eye (ALT) on it to bring up the status menu.
TIP: Try to keep your plants food & water status above 50% to ensure a healthy plant.
To feed your plant, ensure that you have fertilizer in your inventory and click on the Food button in the status menu. Likewise, to water your plant, ensure you have water & click on the Water button.
¶ Step 4: Harvesting
Once your plant is fully grown, it is ready for harvesting. Note that fully grown plants will slowly lose health over time, but will remain around much longer than a growing plant.
To harvest, simply press the Harvest button.
After harvesting, you will receive a "branches" item and SOMETIMES your pot. There is a chance that pots will break.
¶ Step 5: Drying
After harvesting your plants, you can now dry the branches to prepare for distribution. In order to dry your plants, you'll need to setup your Drying Rack. Each rack can hold branches from 6 plants.
Deploy your Drying Rack by using it in your inventory.
Once deployed, you can use your third eye on your Drying Rack to bring up the status menu. It will show each slot available. To fill an empty slot, simply click on it to bring up a list of branches in your inventory.
Drying can take some time, but once branches reach 100% they will stay there, so don't be afraid to set it up and leave it. Once branches are complete, they can be removed one-by-one by clicking on them, or you can pick up the entire rack by clicking on Pick Up.
¶ Step 6: Processing
Once dried, branches are ready for processing into sellable quantities (ie baggies). Make sure that you have ~60 baggies per branch (depending on their health) and enough room/weight available in your inventory to hold them (they will stack). To process a branch, simply use it in your inventory.
TIP: Sometimes you will find a seed during processing!
